نتائج المقرر:

a. Knowledge and Understanding:

1- Define the theoretical frameworks related to contemporary political affairs, such as state institutions, types of regimes and state-society relationships.
2- Recognize political factors such as the presidential and parliamentary elections, constitutional drafting, revolutions and resistance.
3- Identify the importance and frameworks of issues or concepts of citizenship, state, democracy, social movements, justice and freedom as well as civic engagement and constitutional processes.

b. Intellectual Skills:

1- Employ the critical way of thinking.
2- Emphasize on understanding the challenges faced by the political community in Egypt and abroad.
3- Deepen the knowledge of and the functions of states, institutions and groups, and political processes such as elections, constitutional drafting and peaceful political resistance.

c. Professional and Practical Skills:

1- Relate and connect between historical events and political theories with contemporary political issues such as the January 25, 2011 events or the June 30, 2013 events and their consequences.
2- Employ the gained knowledge in the analysis of a variety of case studies.

d. General and Transferable Skills:

1- Construct logical arguments.
2- Evaluate social media and other new sources.
