The Faculty of Economics and Political Science organized the last open lecture for the fall semester on December 28, 2023, at the university theater. The guest speaker was Mr. Ahmed Abdel Rahman El-Sheikh, Head of the Egyptian Stock Market. The lecture discussed the history of the stock market in Egypt. Many concepts have also been explained like financial markets, financial intermediaries, financial derivatives, primary market and secondary market. Mr. Ahmed presented the different kinds of transactions and trading including the block trading. He also identified the importance of investment in stock markets for the investor as a source of finance and for the whole society mentioning its initiative for issuing stocks against pollution.
