I am pleased to welcome all of you to the Department of Political Mass Media at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science. The department is a multidisciplinary department which provides a rigorous knowledge of mass media in addition to politics, economics, and public policy. Our goal is to turn the department be a beacon for the preparation of distinguished media cadres, based on the vision and the strategy of the Faculty and the University. Our student is the focus of the educational process, and the fruit of the purpose of its existence. Based on this, we work to prepare a graduate equipped with theoretical and professional knowledge in the field of media in all its branches and specializations, a graduate qualified with advanced scientific, professional, and technological qualifications that meet the needs of the labor market and the requirements of competition locally and globally. The department also aims to raise the level of the graduate’s commitment to social, professional, and ethical responsibilities towards the state and society, in addition to conducting scientific research related to society’s priorities, issues and problems. Among the values of the department is to embrace a “future outlook” by trying to anticipate modern developments in the fields of media and their applications on the Egyptian society. Best of Luck,
